Product Questions
How are these boots different to others?
Our boots allow for true cooling and air flow. As they contain only 100% 3D Theratex mesh on the inside, they act like a honeycomb structure that allows air to travel inside and around the boot before escaping.
We do not use any overheating fabrics such as neoprene, fleece, silicone or rubber in our lining, providing you with some of the coolest boots on the market.
The difference between our boots and traditional is apparent in the first use.
Do your boots contain neoprene or fleece?
We pride ourselves on not using cheap, overheating materials like neoprene or fleece.
Studies have shown these can overheat legs to dangerous temperatures affecting tendon health.

How protective are they?
We currently offer Light & Advanced protection with 2 new styles coming in November. On each product page you can see if they are Light, Advanced or Armour Protection.
Light is for horses who only need lightweight brushing protection mainly during flat work.
Advanced offers a stronger strike area that is solid, but still flexible. Perfect for horses who need stronger brushing protection or owners who would like a brushing style boot over fences (like in cross country).
Armour protection has a flexible hard shell with maximum strike protection. Ideal for horses who knock or do high impact exercise like jumping.
What size should I get?
On each product page there is a Size Guide. Please look at this carefully as our sizes are different to what other brands offer.
Your horse may be a Medium in another brand, and in ours you could be a different size.
The easiest way to follow the size guide is to look at the height of your horse. The measurements are of the actual boots themselves and not your horses legs.
It's best to email us after looking at the size guides if you are confused: hello@airstrideequine.com
Why are Original Sets of 4 no longer available?
We’ve temporarily removed the Original Tendon Boot - Sets of 4 from our store due to technical limitations with Shopify on how bundled products are handled at checkout, particularly around duty, tax, and discount calculations.
This change affects all customers, including those in Australia, and helps ensure every order is processed and shipped smoothly under our updated system.
You can still build your own set by purchasing two individual pairs (same product, same sizing flexibility), and any valid discount codes from past purchases or reviews can still be used at checkout.
We’re working on a better way to reintroduce bundle options in future.

Why is there a minimum order of £135 for UK?
We’re currently setting a £135 minimum spend for UK customers due to UK tax system complexities.
Under UK rules, all goods under £135 require the seller to register, collect, and remit VAT directly to HMRC at checkout.
Right now, we don’t have the systems in place to manage this accurately, so we’re focusing on orders above the threshold, where VAT will be charged & collected by UK Customs instead. You will need to pay this when your item arrives in the UK.
